Blog on the move
Hi everyone.
I have moved this blog to http://vluk.blogspot.com/. I figure that the baby wouldn't appreciate a blog named after big brother.
See you over there.

Birthday week
It's been birthday week with Max.
Last weekend we were in Toronto at the Zoo and staying at our favourite hotel.
Wednesday was Max's actual birthday with a celebration at school and presents at home.
Today was the birthday party at the YMCA. Pictures can be found here:

Ottawa Visit with Brian and Family
The family took a mini-vacation to Ottawa to see Brian and family visiting from Hong Kong. We took the train for the first time instead of driving. Much more comfortable for everyone not being strapped into the car/carseat for 7 hours.

Max quote of the month
This morning Max was having French toast for breakfast and this was the first time that he was able to cut the toast by himself using a knife and fork. He was very excited by this newly acquired skill. In a very serious voice he said: "There are only three things that I can't do: Wipe my bottom, drive a car and cut the grass."
Sarah and I could hardly contain ourselves. Obviously, he had given this lots of thought. Only three more things left to do on his list.
What a kid!

Overdue Post
I haven't posted for a while so I'll make it up with volume.
May passed quickly and June saw the arrival of Max's nanny for the summer, Madeline. These pictures are from their second week together and they are getting along great. They've been spending the afternoons swimming, making crafts, going to the park, and riding the

This might be one of the funniest pictures I have ever taken of Max. He decided to dress himself for our walk tonight. He insisted on wearing his swimming goggles and the sun hat with the bomber jacket and the hockey pants. The complete ensemble also included beaver mitts and construction boots. I'm glad I caught this "Kodak" moment.
